The Hot Sardines Technical Rider
Instruments to be Provided:
Piano/bench (baby grand or upright, tuned) OR keyboard/stand/bench (good quality, weighted, 88 keys)
Jazz drum kit (bass drum 18” – to accommodate H.S. logo), 1 floor tom 14”, 1 rack tom 12”, snare, high hat, all stands/hardware)
Sound (see stage plot):
-Full PA with sufficient power to send a clean undistorted sound throughout the venue plus 4 monitors on stage
-Portable dance floor for tap dancer approx. 6’ x 6’ (only if stage is carpeted, cement, stone or otherwise unusable for tap dancing)
-Chair for tap dancer (see stage plot)
-One good quality vocal mic on weighted stand
-Two 57 mics OR condenser piano mic for piano on elbow stands.
-Three 57 mics for trumpet, trombone, clarinet/sax on stands OR 4 clip on mics
-One or two overhead mics/stand(s), One kick mic/stand for drums.
-One 58 mic on low stand/elbow for upright bass (band will provide acoustic bass with a quarter inch pick up; bass will go through an Acoustic Image Clarus 2 S4 Head)
-Floor mics for tap dancer
-Two DI boxes for bass/keyboard (if no piano)
BACKSTAGE GREEN ROOM
A backstage room for band members with:
-Refrigerator/cooler (if available)
-Hooks for hanging clothes
-Easy access to a private bathroom with a sink and mirror
FOOD & DRINKS
-Food for 8 people with some vegetarian options
-Min. 14 bottles of cooled water backstage/onstage
-Other drinks: beer, red wine/white wine, spirits, juice, soda (if available)
-An assortment of snacks (e.g. nuts, chips)
